PURPOSE:To reduce the abrasion of a flight due to sliding by performing the light running of said flight, by providing a roller to the flight of a scraping apparatus for scraping the precipitate or the floated substance in a sewage introducing basin while recirculating and moving the same on a rail by said roller. CONSTITUTION:A chain 3 is provided in a sewage or waste water itroducing basin so as to recirculate and move along the water surface and the bottom part therein and a large number of flights 4 each for scraping a precipitate or a floated substance are attached to the chain 3. The flights 4 are contacted with and slid on the basin bottom rail 5 and the upper return rail 6 in the introducing basin 1 and recirculated and moved in an endless state by the chain 3 trained over four chain wheels 2. In this case, a recessed part 9 is notched at the part where the flight 4 is opposed to rails 5, 6 and a roller 10 is attached thereto in a freely rotatable manner. Even if a precipitate on the rails 5, 6, the flight 4 can pass thereon lightly by the rolling of the roller 10 and the load tension force of the chain is also reduced and the abrasion due to the sliding with the rails or corrosion based thereon is remarkably reduced.
