Dentrifices with improved rheol. properties., e.g. viscostity, rate of flow, and tube filling capacity, were prepd. comprising sorbitol, gelling agents, e.g. xantan gum and guar gum. Thus, a cream detrifice was prepd. contg. sorbitol 23, xanthan-guar gum 1.4, saccharin 0.14, H2O 22.683, insol. Na metaphosphate 45, TiO2 0.4, ascorbic acid 0.4, SnF2 0.62, and aroma / part. clear gel compns. were also prepd.
