PURPOSE:To permit the vertical movement and pitch sending of a printing ribbon by a simple mechanism using one drive source, in which the pitch sending of the printing ribbon is made by cam lever, etc., by utilizing the vertical movement of a cassette base. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette base 3 is turned counterclockwise around a bearing pin 5 by the attraction of a solenoid 6 and a ribbon 1 goes up to become printing state, an arm 7 integrally formed with the cassette base 3 goes up, a cam lever 8 turns around a pin 9 while touching with a stopper 10 by the action of a spring 11, a cam formed at the tip of the cam lever 8 is engaged with a ratchet 13, the ratchet 13 is sent by one tooth, and the coaxial ribbon coiling drive shaft 14 is turned to take up the ribbon 1 by one letter. When the solenoid 6 is released, the cassette base 3 is lowered by the action of the spring 17, and printing state is visualized, the cam lever 8 is restored to its early-period state as the arm 7 goes down by the interaction of the stopper 10 and the spring 17, and the engagement of the cam and the ratchet 13 is released. |
