PURPOSE:To eliminate the ghost even though an output terminal contains a delay element by adding plural delay elements and amplifiers to a transversal filter and generating an output signal in a period corresponding to the delay time of the delay element to a reference signal. CONSTITUTION:Two delay elements 2' having delay time tau and two tap amplifiers 3' having gains -C1' and -C2' compared with a conventional ghost eliminating device are added to a pre-ghost transversal filter. Thus signals delta(t0-tau) and delta(t0-2tau) are obtained at an output terminal 7, and therefore a period during which no signal exists at the terminal 7 can be eliminated. With such a transversal filter, the signals of delta(t0+2tau)-delta(t0-2tau) are obtained at the terminal 7 in a period of -2tau<=t<=2tau. As a result, the ghosts existing in this period are eliminated by a feedforward type device. While the ghosts existing at and after t=3tau are eliminated by a feedback type device by means of signals of g(t0- 3tau)-g(t0-5tau). |
