PURPOSE:To protect an oscillator from deterioration or breakage by a method wherein the inversion of the humidifier main body, which brings it to the shortage of water, is detected by a simple constitution and the driving of the oscillator is stopped upon detecting the inversion. CONSTITUTION:A photointerruptor 14, consisting of a photodiode 12 and a phototransistor 13, is provided for detecting inversion of the main body while a shutter 16, interrupting a light when the main body is being put normally and passing the light when the main body is inverted, is provided between the photodiode 12 and the phototransistor 13 so as to be rotatable into the direction of the inversion. The oscillation of the shutter 16, which brings the main body to the normally situating condition in spite of the inversion of the main body, is prevented by delaying or memorizing the situation by an electric circuit when the light passes due to the inversion of the main body. In accordance with the condition of the photointerruptor 14, an oscillation control unit 6 controls an ultrasonic oscillating circuit 7. |
