In a draw-in device, as required in particular for containers of the most varied types for carrying out inspection, maintenance and/or repair work, in order to be able to raise or lower, with the aid of a supporting means, a person-receiving means capable of being introduced into the container, an intermediate support arranged between supporting means and person-receiving means is provided which is supported by the supporting means and for its part supports the person-receiving means and, in the drawn-in state, rests on the container wall, this intermediate support being connected rotatably or pivotably to the supporting means and the person-receiving means being connected movably to the intermediate support, and the intermediate support being able to be brought from a drawn-in position to a working position.
