摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled high-purity alcohol in a one-stage reaction in a simple apparatus, by reacting an (R,S)-alcohol with a triglyceride in the presence of a specific enzyme and carrying out ester interchange reaction in the absence of water. CONSTITUTION:(A) 1mol (R,S)-alcohol expressed by the formula (X is 2-10C alkyl; Y is 1-3C alkyl, CF3 or CN and X is not same as Y), e.g. (R,S)-sec- octanol, and (B) 0.5-5mol triglyceride, e.g. tributyrin, are subjected to asymmetric ester interchange reaction in the presence of (C) an enzyme, e.g. lipase, having the ability to react with the component (A) and preferentially carry out the asymmetric ester interchange of either one of the R-isomer and S-isomer with the component (B) or microorganism capable of producing the enzyme, e.g. microorganism of the genus Arthrobacter of Pseudomonas, at 20-70 deg.C for 48-1,000hr to resolve and obtain an optically active alcohol rich in either one of the R-isomer and S-isomer.
