发明名称 MAGNETIC ALLOY FOR MAGNETIC HEAD CORE AND ITS PRODUCTION
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide high saturation magnetic flux density and high magnetic permeability and to improve corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and hot workability by subjecting a magnetic alloy having a composition in which respective contents of Si, Mn, Cr, and Ti are specified to two-stage heat treatment under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic alloy for magnetic head core has a composition consisting of, by weight, 7.5-9.5% Si, 0.1-1% Mn, 2-8% Cr, 0.05-0.6% Ti, and the balance essentially Fe. Hot working, such as hot rolling, is applied to the above alloy to destroy a cast structure. This alloy is first heat-treated at 800-1200 deg.C, by which rolled structure is dissipated and recrystallization is carried out. Subsequently, cooling is exerted down to <=300 deg.C necessary to carry out stabilization. Then, the alloy is heat-treated again at 800-1200 deg.C so that A2 phase comprises >=60% of the internal structure. By this method, the alloy showing high magnetic permeability by alternating current even after resin molding can be obtained, and this alloy can be applied to magnetic bead for perpendicular magnetic recording.
