PURPOSE:To obtain magnetic recording material improving dispersivity in manufacturing of magnetic paint and having excellent magnetic characteristic in paintability and producibility by utilizing magnetic powder obtained through surface processing with a particular organo silicon polymer. CONSTITUTION:Coated magnetic powder is obtained through coating of magnetic powder having excellent dispersivity even under coexistence of various kinds of binders with a single or two kinds of organo silicon polymer with a molecular amount of 500-1,000 containing the silyl group for the polybutadiene structure or deformed polybutadiene structure, and it is desirable to use an organo silicon polymer expressed by the ordinary equations I and II. In the equation, n+m+l is 10-100, n/(n+m+l) is 0-0.7, m/(n+m+l) is 0.1-0.5, R1, R2 are hydrocarbon groups selected from the alkyl group and allyl group with a number of carbons of 1-6, R3 is an alkyl group with a number of carbons of 1-4, (a) is an integer of 1-3, (b) is an integer selected from 0, 1 and 2. |
