In a lining for tunnelling, in particular in underground mining, by means of curved precast reinforced-concrete shells which, in each case with their end faces and if need be longitudinal edge faces formed on them, are placed face to face with shells in each case adjacent to them and are connected to one another and are also sealed off, provision is made according to the invention for one half of a joint to be installed at least in the front edge faces of each shell, which half consists of a steel section partly encased in concrete, and for the joint halves, lining up on the inside after the joining to the other shell, to be connected to a flat coil spring when shells are supported on one another while a gap is formed, which flat coil spring bridges and closes the gap.
