<p>PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce NOx by a structure wherein stainless steel members treated by cementation are arranged in a vertical flame cylinder and/or a horizontal flame cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A large number of stainless steel members 17 and 17', which are treated by cementation, are arranged in a flame cylinder connecting between a first stage combustion chamber 1 and a second stage combustion chamber 11 or a vertical flame cylinder 16 and a horizontal flame cylinder 10. NOx is produced by high temperature hollow flame due to incomplete combustion in the cyclone combustion chamber 1. However, the NOx contained in a gas, which is produced during first stage combustion in reducing atmosphere, is almost completely reduced due to the catalytic function of cementation treated stainless steel while passing through the vertical flame cylinder 16 and the horizontal flame cylinder 10. Accordingly, the quantity of NOx produced in the high temperature second stage combustion chamber 11 or in second stage combustion is reduced. Consequently, the reduction of NOx in exhaust gas can be resulted.</p> |
