发明名称 CONTROLLING METHOD FOR QUANTITY OF CARBURIZATION IN VACCUM CARBURIZATION TREATMENT
摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the variations in the rate of carburization by utilizing the specified relations between a prescribed amt. of metallic materials and the quantity of a carburizing gas to be supplied per unit volume of a carburizing furnace inversely thereby permitting active dealing with controlling without requiring any particular additive device and a carburization treatment from the beginning. CONSTITUTION:The rate of carburization on the surfaces of steel bar materials is measured after vacuum carburization thereof, and the relations of the quantity of a carburizing gas supplied per unit volume of a carburizing furnace with respect to the weight of the objects to be treated for the purpose of obtaining for example 0.8, 1.0, 1.2% rate of carburization are curves (a), (b), (c), respectively. Thus, there are specified relations among the three; the rate of carburization, the weight of the objects to be treated and the quantity of the above-described gas. Here, in the case of performing a vacuum carburization treatment by utilizing said relations inversely, and setting, for example, 200kg weight of the objects to be treated at 1.2% rate of carburization, the quantity of the carburizing gas per unit volume of the furnace is 0.06. Therefore, if the volume of the furnace is 2m<3>, the supplying of 0.12Nm<3> the carburizing gas suffices.
