<p>A pattern (16) is printed under a fixed disc made in a light polarising material, is placed on the top of the first and is rotated by the second's axle. This disc has an index (15) which indicates the seconds, and therefore the pattern appears and disappears twice a minute. The hours' and minutes' hands are placed between the two polarising materials so that they are always visible. A graphic design may be added on the upper surface of the polariser, and will remain permanently visible.</p> |
