PURPOSE:To obtain a druable electrode having a large linear gradient domain of an ion activity-electrode potential curve and also, having good selectivity, by providing a hardly soluble sulfate layer and an epoxy resin layer dispersed a liquid ion exchange material. CONSTITUTION:The first layer 4 is formed by the following process. A deposition property of sulfate is made excellent by forming a silver paste layer, for example, electrically conductive undercoating 3 on a metallic base material 2 such as a copper wire, and this copper wier 2 is immersed alternately in sulfuric acid and a saturated barium hydroxide solution. Then, barium sulfate having a prescribed thickness is precipitated uniformly and dried after washing with water. Next, fluid material mixed with an ion exchange material liquid consisting of a nitrobenzene solution containing e.g. o-ferro phenanthroline sulfate with bisphenol A type epoxy oligomer and triethylene tetramine as a curing agent, is applied on the layer 4 and cured. The second layer 5 composed of epoxy resin dispersed the ion exchange material liquid is formed by said process and a sulfuric acid ion selective electrode 1 is obtained. |
