PURPOSE:To perform a high-speed process of data and to protect the contents of storage when a power supply is cut off, by combining a high-speed IC memory with a nonvolatile magnetic bubble memory, thereby transferring the data between said IC memory and magnetic bubble memory when no access is effected by a CPU. CONSTITUTION:An access is effected to an IC memory 3 via a control circuit 2 and by the control signal supplied from a CPU1, and the data is transferred between the CPU1 and the memory 3 via the circuit 2. At the same time, a magnetic bubble memory 4 is connected to the memory 3 via an interface circuit 5 and controlled by a control circuit 6. The transfer of data is carried out between the memories 3 and 4 in case the CPU1 does not access. The latest data is stored in the memory 4 even when a power supply is cut off. This data can be immediately written into the memory 3 from the memory 4 after power supply is applied again. At the same time, a high-speed operation is possible since the CPU1 accesses to the high-speed memory 3. Furthermore an instruction or data can be fetched properly out of the large-capacity memory 4 although the capacity of the memory 3 is small. |
