摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve higher reliability of the apparatus with reduction in the number of members to be turned within a pipe to be measured, by turning together a light emitting section and a light receiving section alone of an optical type distance meter in the casing of the apparatus inserted into the pipe being measured. CONSTITUTION:A pig 10 is inserted into a pipe P to be measured being supported with a support rod 110 in such a manner that the axis line of the support rod 110, namely, the axis line of the motor shaft 41 of the drive motor 40 is aligned with the axis of the pipe P. A light emitting element 12 of a light emitting unit 20 emits light with the application of a current to a light emitting circuit 11 through a cable from a processor, the light is focused with a projection lens 13 to be projected through a light projecting/receiving window 110a of the casing 101 and then reflected on the inner surface of the pipe P. Passing through a projection/light receiving element 100b, the reflected light is incident on a light receiving lens 14 and focused to form an image on a light receiving surface of a 1-D photodetector 15. Here, a signal specifying the light receiving element where the reflected light image is formed is sent to the output circuit 16 from the element 15 and then outputted to the processor through the cable.
