PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording medium capable of preventing the precoupling of a diazonium salt and a coupler due to elution under highly wet conditions and also of hot recording with a high sensitivity and having excellent storage stability by adding a specific organoboron salt to the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive recording medium contains a diazonium salt, a coupler, a basic substance, and an organoboron salt of the formulaI(where R1- R4 are each an alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, allyl, aryl, heterocyclic, or cyano; and M<+> is Li<+> or Na<+>). As the organoboron salt, sodium tetraphenyl borate of the formula II, lithium tetra-p-tolylborate of the forluma III, etc., may be cited for example. Thus, excellent storage stability can be obtained. |
