PURPOSE:To store articles smoothly and easily by bringing down a dog backward in such a manner as to sink below the conveying surface when the dog supported on a link of a chain through a pin is influenced by resistance more than predetermined. CONSTITUTION:When a chain 1 is moved in an arrow direction (to the left), a roller 9 disposed on the horizontal portion of a dog 7 is rolled on guide rails 12 disposed on the outer periphery of the side of a sprocket 11 at the right reversing portion so that the dog 7 is put to a rising posture. The dog 7 is adapted to receive a steel pipe 4 thrown from the right at the vertical portion thereof and transfer same to the left. When the dog 7 reaches a storage portion near the terminal end of a conveying surface 5, the dog 7 is brought into contact with the lower portion of the back of the preceding steel pipe group, which causes the vertical portion to pivot on a pin 6 backward, so that the dog 7 goes into a headstand. Therefore, the dog 7 leaves the steel pipe 4 behind at the place, and passes through the lower portion of the storage portion to be restored to the initial position. |
