发明名称 HEAT EXCHANGER HAVING VERTICAL STATIONARY PIPE PLATE
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a stress corrosion cracking in the titled heat exchanger by a method wherein the level of a fluid introduced into the heat exchanger from a fluid guide port is made to lie below the lower surface of an upper stationary pipe plate. CONSTITUTION:The fluid guide port 7 is provided at the intermediate portion of a shell 2 so that when the fluid L is introduced into the heat exchanger from the fluid guide port 7, the uppermost surface of the fluid L3 comes to lie in level with the lower surface 4d of the upper stationary pipe plate 4 and as a result, the uppermost surface 7 of the fluid guide port 7 comes to lie in level with the lower surface 4d of the upper pipe plate 4 or becomes higher than the latter. Consequently, whole of the space under the lower surface 4d of the upper pipe plate 4 is filled with the fluid so that the pipe plate 4 is cooled to a lower temperature by the fluid and the stress corrosion cracking of a stainless steel tube 5 at a portion 5' which is in contact with the pipe plate 4 is controlled. Further, with the above arrangement, the condensation of salt component in the fluid due to the repetitive drying and humidifying operations of the heat exchanger is prevented to thereby eliminate the cause for the stress corrosion cracking of the tube 5.
