摘要 In a spring brake cylinder, a ball detent which couples the piston rod to the piston can be decoupled by a locking element, which, in the normal position, locks the ball detent, and allows the piston rod to be displaced axially relative to the piston to bring about the mechanical release of the brake. The locking element has a groove which can be brought into radial coincidence with the balls of the ball detent. When decoupling, the balls can penetrate partially into the said groove, thereby being released from a recess formed in the piston neck; the locking element is guided in rotationally fixed but axially displaceable fashion on the piston rod and is acted upon by a release cam which acts on the said element with its control surfaces and can be rotated manually from outside the spring brake cylinder. For this purpose, the release cam is connected to a release element which extends in the opposite direction to the locking element and extends in axially displaceable but rotationally fixed fashion into an actuating part extending out of the end of the spring brake cylinder, such that the release element engages telescope-fashion in the actuating part, which is held rotatably on the end of the spring brake cylinder. To secure the locking element against rotation relative to the piston rod, the said element is guided by means of a guide pin which engages in a guide slot formed on the piston rod and can be displaced in accordance with the axial movement of the locking element in the guide slot. When the locking element is used inside the piston rod, a spring is provided which, extending in the piston rod between the thrust piece of the latter and the locking element, loads the latter continuously towards the release cam.
