<p>Strong smelling natural alpha-bisabolol is purified by treatment with alkaline hydroxides, alcoholates, carbonates, bicarbonates, alkaline earth hydroxides, oxides or aluminium hydroxide. The alpha-bisabolol is treated with gaseous nitrogen before alkaline treatment. Treatment with active carbon may also be included with chromatographic or vacuum distillation. The prod. is used for fixing perfumes in cosmetics.</p> |
