PURPOSE:To make a tuning circuit unnecessary to obtain an optional multiplication output in a low frequency band without adjustment, by converting an input signal to a prescribed duty signal and by differentiating this signal. CONSTITUTION:A sawtooth wave input signal (a) of a period T (frequency f) is converted to a duty 50% square wave signal (b) of the same period by a duty control waveform shaping circuit 1, and this signal (b) is differentiated by a differentiating circuit 2 to obtain a pulse train of a repeated period T/2 corresponding to the rise and the fall of the signal (b). This pulse train is converted to a sawtooth wave signal (d) (this signal d has a waveform obtained by multiplying the input signal a by 2), where the period between adjacent pulses becomes one period, by a waveform converting circuit 3, and this signal (d) is converted to a duty 50% square wave signal (e) of the same period as the signal (d) by a duty control waveform shaping circuit 4. A tuning circuit is not required for obtaining the multiplication output of an optional frequency, and the adjustment is not required even in the input signal frequency of a wide range. |
