The lubrication mechanism comprises a rotor in a housing and with a passage at right angles to its axis of rotation accommodating a plunger working against the inside of an eccentric ring in the housing. Thus a variable-column chamber is formed in the passage, connected alternately to feed and discharge passages in the housing cover as the rotor turns. The passage extends right through the rotor (7), having different cross-sectional areas (8,9) on opposite sides of the rotor axis (0). The main plunger (10) works in one portion (8) and an additional one (11) in the other (9). The variable-volume chamber is formed in the passage between the plungers.
