Copolymers or mixtures contng. 25-90, pref. 60-80% wt. of an acrylate polymer (I) and 75-10, pref. 40-20% wt. of a siloxane (II) formed from 40-100, pref. 45-65 mole % R2SiO + 60-0, pref. 55-35 mole % RSiO3/2 where R is a (substd.) monovalent hydrocarbon radical such as -CH3, =C2H5, -CH=CH2, -C6H5 or -CH2-CH2-CF3 esp. where R provides a vinyl radical/Si ratio of 0.02-0.3/1 or where (II) contains at least 0.5, pref. >2% wt. -OH or alkoxy grps. bonded to Si atoms, and (I) is typical of acrylate-based polymers. In aqueous emulsions as coating compositions for water-proofing and sealing of building structures, aluminium, paper, etc. and as mould release agents. |
