PURPOSE:To increase the compressing rate, through decreased processing steps, by making optimum coding processing in response to the specific information specifying the types of picture signals for the picture signal, and forming the code corresponding to the picture signal according to the types of picture. CONSTITUTION:An original PIX is scanned and read in to obtain the binary signal train. From this binary signal train, the types of picture given to Pb#00-#nm of each block sectioned to the pictures of originals are identified to form the parameter sequentially. For example, the parameter for picture signals of block Pb#00, Pb#01... are those corresponding to line picture, and Pb#21, Pb#22, Pb#31, Pb#32 are picture signals for network point picture is formed. The parameters are formed in the order of #00, #01... to the data in a given bit number, and they are stored every scanning line of block. Next, the formed parameter is read out to change the coding parameter of the coder and the picture signal of corresponding block is picked up and coded. |
