PURPOSE:To obtain the titled plate by continuously casting molten steel contg. a specified amount of C, Si, Mn, and S and/or Se to form a slab, heating the slab to a specified temp. to dissolve and diffuse FeS or FeSe in the central segregated part, and subjecting the slab to known soaking. CONSTITUTION:Molten steel contg., by wt., 2-4% Si, <0.07% C, 0.03-0.1% Mn and 0.01-0.2% S and/or Se is continuously cast to form a slab. This slab is heated to 1,000-1,250 deg.C to dissolve and diffuse FeS or FeSe contributing to the central segregation of the slab. It is then heated to 1,250 deg.C, hot rolled and subjected to cold rolling and annealing at least once. |
