A programmable control device (A) supplies digital data depending on analog signals via data lines (D0 - D7). The control device includes a central processing unit (10) in the form of a microprocessor, having address lines (A0 - A15), the data lines, and control lines for outputing a write signal. When the write signal is received, the digital data which is present on the data lines is passed to data recording devices. The central processing unit is connected to an analog-digital conversion module (100). When it receives a conversion signal (ADC), this module converts an analog signal which is fed to it into a digital signal for the data lines. Said module is connected to a number of analog signal input modules (120, 122, 124), to which addresses are output by the central processing unit (10), so that the analog signals to be converted to digital data are passed to the conversion module (100).
