PURPOSE:To enable to obtain air-fuel mixture containing finely atomized fuel, by establishing or breaking communication between a valve passage and an orifice opened in the intake passage by causing reciprocal movement of a valve body of an injection valve by means of a pulse motor the inoperative period of time of which is controlled by the operational condition of the engine. CONSTITUTION:At a portion of an intake passage 2, there is provided a rotary injection valve 5 to which fuel in a fuel tank 7 is supplied under a constant pressure via a pump 8 and a pressure regulator 9. The injection valve 5 includes a valve body 21 turned by a pulse motor 4, which causes reciprocal movement of the valve body 21 between a fuel injecting position and an inoperative position by the output of a control means 19. To this control means 19, there are given an output of a position detector 27 which produces a signal when the valve body 21 comes to the fuel injecting position and outputs of various detectors 14-18 which detect at least one of the operational states and conditions of engine and produce a signal for correcting the intervals of pulse motor driving pulses. The valve body 21 is formed with an outlet or the like 24 that can be communicated to an orfice 6. |
