PURPOSE:To enhance the fixing sensitivity, etc. of a recording member by adding an imidazole or benzimidazole deriv. and a specified chelating agent together with a Co (III) complex, a photoreducing agent, a hydrogen donor, a coupler which colors by oxidation, an acid promoting the coloring and a photooxidizing agent. CONSTITUTION:A chelating agent represented by formula I (where each of R<1> and R<2> is alkyl, aryl or aralkyl and n is 0-3) and the imidazole deriv. of formula III or the benzimidazole deriv. of formula II are added to a composition contg. a Co (III) ammine or amine complex, a photoreducing agent a hydrogen donor, a coupler which colors by oxidation, a photooxidizing agent and an acid promoting the coloring. Photosensitive heat-sensitive layer 2 of the resulting composition is formed on support 1 to manufacture a photosensitive heat-sensitive recording member. By selecting the irradiation order of visible light and ultraviolet rays, either positive or negative image is obtd. using the recording member. The fixing sensitivity of the member is enhanced by the combined use of the (benz)imidazole deriv. and the chelating agent, and a clear image is obtd. |
