Room temp-curable adhesive compns. with good adhesion properties toward wet wood were prepd. from a hydrophilic multifunctional polyisocyanate prepolymer( mol. 1000-20,000) contg. linear polyether urethane chain and linear polyester urethane chain and 2-15% NCO group. Thus, a mixt. of polyethylene glycol,1, a trimethylolpropane-ethylene oxide adduct 1, castor oil 2, TDI 5, MDI 2mol was heated at 60-100oC to give a polyisocyanate (mol. wt 10,300, 3.6% NCO group).
