The grating tool for tuberous roots consists of two discs (2) mounted on a shaft (1). The sides of discs facing each other are provided with concentric grooves in which the protruding ends of pressure rods (9) are accommodated. The protruding ends of the pressure rods engaged in the concentric grooves of the two discs represent a positive locking device against the pressure rods (9) becoming detached from the disc due to centrifugal force at high speeds. Between two adjacent pressure rods (9) foil blades (10) are locked in position by a tongue on one pressure rod surface engaging with a groove on the adjacent pressure rod surface. The discs (2) are provided on one or several points of their periphery with gaps (13) having recesses (17,18) into which the protrusion (16) of the wedge assembly (11,12) engages.
