LEAD STORAGE BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To enhance the recharge characteristic of a lead storage battery after the over discharge by adding a compound which absorbs liquid and is pH dependent to a gellike electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A lead storage battery includes a positive electrode, negative electrode and a gellike electrolyte. The gellike electrolyte contains a compound whose absorptive powder varies according to its pH, in addition to water and sulfuric acid. The former liauid-absorbing compound which is pH dependent is preferred to be a starch prepared from a graft copolymer of either an acrylic-acid monomer or a methacrylic-acid monomer.
