PURPOSE:To correct the unbalance of a hollow shaft, by distrubuting a liquid-state material having a solidifying character to the inner surface of a central axis in the hollow shaft in such a manner as to obtain an equal inside radius and removing closing caps after solidification of the liquid-state material. CONSTITUTION:To an opening end at one side of a hollow shaft 4 the first closing cap 5 is fitted to seal a liquid-state material 6 having a character of being solidified with the lapse of time or the change of temperature, and then also to an opening end at the other side of the hollow shaft 4 the second closing cap 7 is fitted to make a rotating motion around the central axis of outer sides of the hollow shaft 4. During the rotating motion, the inside of the liquid-state material 6 tends to be balanced by a same centrifugal force, resulting in the production of an actual circle with the central axis O of the rotating motion as a center. After a completion of solidification of the liquid-state material 6, the rotating motion is stopped to remove the closing caps 5, 6 from the both ends of the hollow shaft 4. In this way, an uneven thickness of the hollow shaft 4 can be equalized by the liquid-state material 6 to cause a same result as that the hollow shaft 4 is machined in a good accuracy as though its thickness were constant at any place, and vibration is hardly generated in the hollow shaft when rotated in such a condition as described. |
