The car seat contoured shell has the seat (3) and back (1) moulded in one piece along with the headrest (5). The occupant is restrained in the shell by side flanges which are shaped for max. comfort, access and safety. The headrest flanges are narrow to allow maximum freedom and visibility while the shoulders are supported by the widest contour (C). The side flanges are shaped to fit the body shape at different parts and with the lower part of the shell allowing easy access to the seat. The headrest is separated from the rest of the moulding by side slots (25) for the shoulder seat belt. |
