The spray nozzle has a connection section for pressurised washing fluid, and a head section with a spray aperture. The connection section (4) may be fastened to the vehicle, and the head section (6) may be displaced relative to the connection section, from an at rest position, by the pressure of the washing fluid. A concertina part (9) is located between head and connection section. The part is maintained by a spring in at rest position, and is expanded by the pressure of the washing fluid. The end of the head section facing the vehicle carries a sealing edge (13).
