The endless screw apparatus for preparing plastic or viscous materials to be cast, comprises a frame having a cavity wherein one or a plurality of shafts are arranged for working the material conformed, at least on a portion of the length thereof, into an endless screw. The surface of the shaft areas and of the cavity wet by the material to be worked, is provided with a protection layer against wear (14, 20c) of chromium carbide, applied by galvanising, wherein diamond particles are embedded.
