<p>A tank for aeration of waste water, sewage etc. is fitted with a shallow lid into which the inflow enters by a pipe to discharge on to a corrugated tray with holes along the crests of the corrugations. The tank requires less overall height to distribute the incoming liquid over the upper surface of the tank than a conventional cascade distributor, hence reduing the size of the hole required for submerged tank of given capacity, or increasing the capacity of an existing tank of given overall dimensions. Opt. applies to systems with tanks and lids made of GRP materials.</p> |
