<p>The seat-mounted seat belt assembly has a lock (6) fitted in recessed fashion into one edge of the seat (7). When in use the lock (6) accepts a locking plate (3) into which end of the abdominal strap (1) as well as end of diagonal strap (4) are attached. The diagonal strap (4) is led through a slot (13) in the seat rest (12) to a retractor mechanism with a low retracting force, fitted at the rear of the sear rest. The end (2) of the abdominal strap (1) passes through the sheath and terminates in another retractor mechanism with a high retracting force, fitted underneath the seat (7). When in use the strap (1) adapts itself to the body contour, but when not in use the strap (2) slides through the elastic strap sheath up to its end and the elastic sheath stands up vertically from the seat for easy reach.</p> |
