<p>The carriage (2) has an opening (16) to receive an ultrasonic sensor. U-shaped profile (4) extends between two edges and has a base (6) and flanges (8), where the profile defines the opening. Wheels (10) or tracks are mounted on the flanges in a manner to permit displacement of the flanges on a surface of the carriage on the wheels or tracks when the flanges are directed towards the surface. The opening extends till one of the two edges (14) for maintaining the sensor in the opening in a projected manner or partially above the edges.
