FIELD: pumps.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to injectors used in coiled tubing systems, and to methods for automatic adjustment of chain tension in said injector. Injector includes: at least two opposed counter-rotating chain loops having a first end and a second end, chain loops comprising a chain; a fixed drive sprocket disposed at first end of a chain loop and a floating sprocket disposed at second end of chain loop; a force applied to floating sprocket disposed at second end of chain loop to maintain chain loop at a desired chain tension; and a tension cylinder that automatically maintains chain loop at desired chain tension. Tension cylinder further comprises a cylinder head and a cylinder head seal, a rod and a rod seal, a rod wiper, a cylinder barrel, a retainer, a piston seal, a piston and a cylinder, wherein piston divides cylinder into at least two chambers, a first chamber and a second chamber, each chamber comprising a piston area, and wherein piston area is same in first and second chambers. Tension cylinder also comprises a check valve connecting first and second chambers, wherein check valve allows fluid and pressure to pass from first chamber to second chamber.EFFECT: technical result consists in automatic adjustment of chain tension, longer service life of chain.19 cl, 18 dwg |
