This sealing strip has, in cross-section, approximately the shape of a wedge and consists of a central body made of elastic foam (5) and of a flexible and smooth external covering (4). This covering has an approximately V-shaped profile, one of the arms of this V being intended to be glued against the leaf or frame of a door or window, the other arm of the V having a curved section (6) at its free end. The plane surface (3) of the covering is covered with a layer of glue (7) on which a detachable flexible protection layer (8) is applied. <IMAGE>
