PURPOSE:To facilitate the separation of a product from a mold, by providing vapor holes on the recess of the mold so that the vapor holes on recess faces parallel with the direction of the separation extend obliquely to the direction. CONSTITUTION:Preparatorily-formed thermoplastic resin grains are filled in the cavity 30 of molds 10, 20. The grains are then heated and foamed by a heating medium such as vapor, thereby obtaining a shaped product B. The product is picked out. In this case, vapor holes 15 on cavity faces parallel with the direction A of separation of the shaped product B from the mold are caused to extend not perpendicularly but obliquely to the direction A of separation. EFFECT:The shaped product can be easily separated from the mold. The surface of the product is prevented from being scratched due to breakdown of burr of the product itself. |
