The invention relates to a screw designed as a slotted head screw and an associated screwdriver with a blade which can be inserted into the slot of the screw. The slot has a larger clear cross-section in the area of its root than in its part running from the root to the orifice. The tip of the screwdriver blade has a widened portion which runs in its longitudinal direction and the cross-section of which is adapted to the cross-section at the root of the slot of the screw. The result of this is that the screwdriver can be inserted in the direction of its tip into the slot of the screw and that the screwdriver and screw are then connected to one another in a tension-proof manner in the axial direction so that screws can be screwed in and unscrewed in any position and at inaccessible locations without them being lost. <IMAGE>
