PURPOSE:To speed up the time for switching an on-line processing to a a stand-by system when a normal service system is abnormal in a duplex system where the two CPU boards of the normal service system and the stand-by system are provided, the normal service system and the stand-by system are made to perform an on-line processing and an off-line processing, respectively and the effective use of the stand-by system is performed at a normal time. CONSTITUTION:Two main storages 231 and 232 are provided within a CPU board 2a, and an on-line processing program and an off-line processing program are stored in the one main storage (for instance, 231) and the other main storage (for instance, 232), respectively. When the microprocessor 22 of the CPU board (for instance, 2a-2) of the stand-by system recognizes the abnormality of a normal service system CPU board 2a-1, the main storage is switched from 232 to 231 by a switching device 25 via an internal bus 21 and the CPU board 2a-2 is switched to the normal service system. |
