Disclosed are a method and intelligent mobile terminal for remotely searching for contacts, the method comprising: after a Bluetooth SPP connection between a first terminal and a second terminal is established, receiving and parsing a search request transmitted from the second terminal to obtain a request type and a keyword; searching for contacts corresponding to the keyword, and packaging the contacts into at least one electronic business card file and numbering the same if the number of the found contacts is nonzero; transmitting to the second terminal a target electronic business card file corresponding to the request type; if the request type is a registration request, then transmitting a first electronic business card file to the second terminal; and if the request type is a view request, then acquiring a serial number of the target electronic business card file from the view request, and transmitting to the second terminal the target electronic business card file corresponding to the serial number. By means of the above method, the present invention can search for the contacts fast while take few memory resources, thus well preserving the integrity of contact information. |
