The hydraulic transmission for the tracked vehicle has separate drives with infinitely variable ratio on each track, and supplied from a common pump by a control valve. The valve monitors the output torque from the pump as well as the steering control settings to distribute the relative torque, and set the relative gear ratios accordingly. The system enables the vehicle to be driven at set curves with changes in speed. The control operates even with changes in direction.
