PURPOSE:To obtain a pressing rod increasing fracture strength and toughness and to constitute stable hot pressing apparatus by arranging carbon combined carbon fiber composite material layer at outside face of a pressing rod composed of a carbon sintered body in the hot pressing apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The material 4 to be sintered is packed into a cylindrical carbon mold 1 and pressurized with the pressing rod 6 through a spacer 5 and heated and sintered with an exothermic material 2. In such hot pressing apparatus, c/c composite material 9 composed of the carbon combined carbon fiber composite material at outer circumference of the pressing rod 6 composed of the carbon sintered body is fitted to form the pressing rod 6 having the c/c composite material layer. By this method, the pressing rod 6, which is possible to reliably use for long term under high pressure, is obtd. and the hot press is stably executed. |
