PURPOSE:To discover the plugging of the injection nozzle in early stages, by previously setting the standard value of heat-crown of the roll crown as the function of quantity of rolled material, and by detecting and monitoring the heat-crown at an arbitrary quantity of rolled material. CONSTITUTION:The standard value of the allowable quantity of heat-crown of the roll is previously settled; when the arbitrary heat-crown in the actual operation exceed this previously settled allowable value, the plugging of the injection nozzle is judged, and the operation is decelerated or stopped. According to this method, generation of heat scratch in the rolled material in the cold rolling operation can be prevented by a simple procedure. |
