PURPOSE:To prevent sleeve ghost and to obtain an image whose density is high by using a developing sleeve obtained by forming conductive carbon fiber containing resin. CONSTITUTION:The developing sleeve is formed by containing conductive carbon fiber 1A in synthetic resin binder 1B so that at least a part of the fiber 1A is made to protrude from the surface of the sleeve. It is desirable that 20-90wt.% carbon fiber 1A is contained in the developing sleeve. It is also desirable that the developing sleeve is within a range where volume resistivity is 10<4>-10<-3>OMEGAcm. Thus, the sleeve ghost can be reduced and the image whose density is high enough can be obtained. Moreover, a developing device excellent in durability can be obtained. |
