The feed improves the quality of eggs and chicken meat by adding carbonised substances to an ordinary composite feed for egg-hens. Thus, carbonised substances e.g., powders of active carbon or burnt wood are added to the ordinary composite feed. The quality of eggs produced by the hens fed with the above feed is remarkably improved.
